An incredible day for Kat and Greg at their Barn at Gibbet Hill wedding. From the weather to the table settings to the food to the dancing, it was a day every couple imagines as their wedding day.
It all started outside in the field, that just goes on and on, a perfect pastoral setting of calmness and beauty. Our minister for the ceremony was Minister HOLGIE CHOI of the Acton Congregational Church. His service was one of inspiration with a youthful and light-hearted tone. One of the best moments for us was when Kat and Greg read their personal vows to each other, just a WOW moment. Just as the Minister pronounced them man and wife, our bride chose I DO by Colby Caliet as their recessional song, and everyone applauded, it was the perfect song for them!
After the ceremony we invited all the guests up to the open air deck for cocktails and fun as we played our upbeat classic and contemporary jazz mix that set a great atmosphere of class and fun. Keeping with the fun upbeat tone our clients wanted, they chose to set their introductions to upbeat dance music hits from today which really energized the room! After their introductions Kat and Greg danced their first dance to Marry Me by Train, a surprise for Greg as Kat had secretly switched the songs at the last minute for him!
There were many special moments that evening, like our bride and groom getting on the microphone to personally thank their guests and welcome everyone in. And a father daughter dance that had been in the making for 20 years! Our bride and her dad danced to Peabo Bryson A Whole New World, something they had talked about doing since she was a little girl. To top it all off, this day was their actual “anniversary” of the first day they met 4 years ago!
The professionalism, fun and energy of the staff at The Barn at Gibbett Hill was lead by Sarah Zambuto. As you’d expect the food was excellent, with nice portion size, attention to detail on the plate and full of flavor.
